TIVA is proud to present its first GOLD Peer Award Recipients Roundtable. The standards are high and it is a real honor to win a Gold Peer Award! Come meet with a panel of recent Gold Award recipients and see how the techniques and practices that worked for them! The panel will be comprised of 5-6 past recipients of a TIVA Gold recognition who will have a chance to show a portion of the work that was recognized, and share their insights and best practices about the most important aspects of their production process!

Dennis Boni - A Peer Award all-star with over 15 Gold Peer Awards! For more than three decades, Dennis Boni has shot everything from presidents to rockstars, underwater and in the air! In 2008 he was nominated for a National Emmy for his DP / Steadicam work on the Smithsonian project, Remembering Vietnam: The Wall at 25
Michael Gabel - A multiple Peer Award recipient including a Gold in Actor in Drama, Michael Gabel has been an award winning actor, director, talk show host, producer and educator for over 40 years. He has a long resume of incredible roles with his most recent credits include the recurring role of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court on “House of Cards”, a feature role on “Veep” and a costarring role on “Sally Pocholok”. He has taught Acting and Film at Catholic and American Universities, Montgomery College, The Smithsonian Institution and is currently on the faculty of The Theatre Lab.
Dude Walker - Taking home 3 Gold Peer Awards at once in 2015 is impressive! Dude Walker is a multitalented media performer with over four decades of professional experience. A SAGAFTRA member, Dude had speaking roles in Minority Report with Tom Cruise, House of Cards, The West Wing and The Wire. As a voiceover artist, Dude announces syndicated radio's The Ric Edelman Show. TV work includes The Sportsman Channel, ESPN and CBS. Among his many TV commercial clients are Audi, Purina and Humana. He has also voiced numerous Democratic political campaigns.
The panel will be held from 6:30pm-9:00pm in Soundstage A at the Office of Cable Television (http://oct.dc.gov/) Reception is from 6:30-7:30pm
