"The State of 4k and How You Can Utilize it On Any Budget!" takes you on an exciting journey from the present into the near future, where your television has a higher resolution than your local multiplex.

From pre-production to final delivery; this seminar willguide anyone from the first time 4k Producer to the seasoned DP -- through the basics and advanced workflows of 4k for all budgets and editing platforms.

Director of Photography Aaron Shirley, who has shot for NASA, USPS and feature films using 4k cameras will be our moderator for the evening.  Aaron and DP Tim Wilson, who works steadily in the Nollywood (Nigerian) film market will be discussing the production workflow of Blackmagic’s various cameras, Sony F3, Arri’s Alexa JVC HMQ10 and RED.

Henninger’s V.P. of Technology, Sam Crawford will be discussing 4k technology. 


Debbie Nathanson, Post-Production Supervisor for National Geographic who has supervised "Explorer" and "Dangerous Encounters" and Visual Effects Artist and founder of DimensionFX, Zhibo Lai along with

Sr. Editor Joe Bridgers at Henninger will discuss 4k workflow, how to integrate After Effects and other VFX apps smoothly into the pipeline and final delivery to clients and networks.

DIT and AC Greg Gutierrez, who has worked on shows for ABC, BET, TLC and a dozen films will present his on-set workflow for what you need to know to hire a DIT and AC.

Henninger will be presenting examples of a network show shot in 4k on their new a 65” 4k monitor.

Networking begins at 6:30 and the presentation starts at 7pm. Food will be catered by Listrani’s of Arlington.
